Smoking Tiger is getting ready to open, and we’re building our baking team! Our goal is to create a space where people of all ages can come together, share moments, and experience different cultures—starting with the breads and pastries we make fresh in-house every day.

The Pastry Supervisor plays a key role in producing our in-house specialty breads baked fresh daily. This position supports the team by leading the baking team while ensuring consistent product quality, proper execution, and a positive team environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about bread, detail-oriented, organized, and confident in leading others. This role requires strong baking skills, professionalism, clear communication, and a commitment to food safety and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Manager with training, coaching, and performance feedback
• Oversee daily bread production, assembly, baking, and display
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Manage inventory checks, sanitation, and organization of equipment
• Delegate tasks and set clear expectations for team members
• Maintain high standards for product quality, food safety, and cleanliness
• Model excellent guest engagement and foster a positive work environment
• Balance multiple priorities and problem-solve effectively

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of guest-facing experience in retail, restaurant, or foodservice (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
• Experience in food production, catering, or restaurant environments
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate
• Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
• Basic math and computer skills
• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week
• Weekend availability required

Compensation & Training

• This is a salaried position, with compensation based on experience
• Training for this role will take place in Los Angeles, CA
• Airfare will be provided for required training
• The employee is responsible for housing & transportation during training period.
